On Saturday August 28th from 10am to 3pm, IDDI will host its very first classic car show. Everyone is invited to this FREE event, so be sure to bring the whole family! Special Olympics Motor Activities Clinic
Each year, IDDI hosts a Motor Development Clinic in conjunction with Special Olympics of Massachusetts. Always a great time, this amazing event provides our athletes the opportunity to participate and compete in events like Soccer Ball Kick, Assisted Bowling and Tee Ball.
This year’s clinic took place on Saturday July 24th and was a blast for everyone involved. We want to thank everyone who came to cheer our athletes on as they competed in the events…We’re so proud of them all!

Leonard, Mulherin and Greene Spring Wine Tasting & Silent Auction
Since its inception, our annual wine tasting and silent auction has quickly become a premier event. With fine wines, delicious food, outstanding entertainment, and great friends, this is an evening that you will long remember. Be forewarned though – you will spend the next twelve months looking forward to the next one!
Thanks to our many sponsors and friends, the 2010 Leonard, Mulherin & Greene Spring Wine Tasting raised approximately $40,000 for our ‘kids’! Thanks again to everyone who contributed to, supported and joined us for a magical night of fun and entertainment!

These one-hour tours provide small groups and individuals with the opportunity not only to learn more about IDDI, but also to meet some of the children and adults that we serve, while experiencing many of the programs and services that we offer. Many of our guests have told us that their tour was truly life changing and have become supportive members of the IDDI family. All have come away with a deeper understanding and appreciation for the incredible commitment that our staff have for their work and the people they support.

At the heart of all successful organizations are the people that make everything happen. At IDDI, this is especially true of our wonderful staff. "Caring," "giving," and "selfless" are words that can only begin to describe their commitment to the individuals that they work with each and every day. Our team of well-trained and dedicated staff works hard and gives so much of themselves all year long, and we are always pleased to be able to recognize them all at this year-end special event in their honor. The 2009 Luncheon, which took place on December 11th, was a time of joy, appreciation and gratitude during which we recognized and honored our Employees of the Year. The 2010 Staff Appreciation Luncheon will take place on December 10th.

In early January, each of our homes hold their own holiday party so that staff, families, and individuals can share quality time together at a festive time of year. Each party is highlighted by a special visit from our “Gingerbread man” and his helpful “Gingersnaps” as they spread cheer and joy across the IDDI campus delivering presents to one and all. Everyone had a great time at our 2010 Holiday Party, and the joyful expressions on our residents' faces were priceless.

Join us for the 2010 Dr. John Manning Open at the exclusive Country Club of New Bedford in Dartmouth on Sept. 20, 2010. Playing this extraordinary Donald Ross-designed course to benefit our ‘kids’ is sure to inspire your best game.
This year, we’re adding a few new surprises, including a putting contest, a chance to win a 2011 Nissan 370 Z courtesy of Mastria Nissan for a hole–in–one and a live auction for tickets to see the Pats take on the Colts at Gillette Stadium this fall.
