Institute for Developmental Disabilities, Inc. is a private school/day program and residential facility, which serves children and adults with mental and physical disabilities in Assonet, MA. All positions require applicants to be able to read/write/speak English fluently. The following positions are immediately available.
Teachers - Special Education – Must be Massachusetts certified or eligible for a waiver to work in an education program for developmentally disabled children. Full time – year round with school vacations.
LPNs – Part time weekend days and evenings. Good starting rate with good hourly differentials. Per diem positions also available on all shifts.
Music Therapist – Looking for a Board Certified Music Therapist to work as a consultant two hours per week providing MT services for some of our adults. Good interpersonal skills and creativity with treatment a must. Sessions range from 20 minutes to 30 minutes; individual and groups of two people. Many are physically handicapped and need adaptive strategies.
Residential Supervisor I & II – Responsible for overseeing residential houses in our adult program – Full time – Flexible hours – including alternating beeper coverage, weekends and holidays. DMR experience a plus.
Residential Supporters – full and part time positions with set schedules are available to work with our adults; includes weekends, all shifts; DMR experience a plus; $12.00/hour starting rate of pay.
Residential Counselors – part time positions on weekends and holidays and full time 2nd and 3rd shift positions are available to work with our children; $12.25/hour starting rate of pay.
