Until now, the feelings of pure joy associated with climbing a tree were unavailable to anyone with mobility impairments. Those using a wheelchair could never experience the delight of watching the world from their own treehouse. IDDI is about to change all that by opening the very first universally-accessible treehouse in Massachusetts on our beautiful 45-acre campus. Starting this fall, children and adults of all ages and ability levels will be able to visit a special place in the woods, far away from the limitations of an earthbound perspective. Perched on several trees, specifications include a 181 foot ramp and deck that wind through the woods, climbing higher and higher as it goes. With a magnificent view of the surrounding woods and river, this treehouse is a magical destination where everyone can have fun and enjoy themselves.

We are very happy to announce that the “Grand Opening” has been set for Sunday September 7th, as part of IDDI’s Family Day festivities. Please join us for what is sure to be a memorable day as we officially give this incredible gift to ‘our kids’.
