- “Making the decision to place our Kristi in a residential school was one of the hardest things we had to do as a family, but finding Crystal Springs was a gift from God. The care, love and attention Kristi receives from everyone gives us peace of mind that she is happy in her precious world. We know we made the right decision for her and could not have gotten through the experience without the support we receive every day from the dedicated people who make Kristi’s life happy. “

"We've been part of the IDDI/Crystal Springs community since August 2005 and all of us were very concerned about being separated from daily contact with Torrie, about trusting others to care for her. But it wasn't long before Torrie—who neither speaks nor hears—made it clear that she was quite happy with the school and her new living arrangements. She's always delighted to see her family, eager to clamber into our car for a trip to her other granny in Fall River, or a drive back to Sandwich for the weekend, and she's just as eager to rejoin her friends at Willow House when she returns there. Torrie knows what she wants and when confronted with the sign for "No" or "Not now, later" she can be exasperating, but the staff has been dealing with her displays of "attitude" in creative and effective ways, guided by a behavioral plan crafted by the Psychology department."

"We want to thank everyone at IDDI for doing such a great job with Ally. It's wonderful to see Ally smiling again."

"Our son, Scott, who is fortunate to be under the guidance, love and compassion of the staff (whom I refer to as my "angels") at formerly Crystal Springs School—now IDDI. Scott is one of the senior citizens now and has spent 34 years of what I feel have been more than rewarding for him. I have a favorite saying for folks and friends who ask about Scott and his well-being and, that is, "He's as safe as if he were in God's pocket." What more could anyone ask for their child.

"IDDI has been home to our son, Stephen, for 33 years. IDDI is our extended family. We have visited Stephen announced and unannounced. Stephen is always well cared for and all his needs are always met. We think about Stephen because he is our son and we love him. We also know how much tender, love and care Stephen receives at IDDI."

- “Placing my daughter in residential care was the most difficult decision of my life; but as a single parent, I knew that caring for her at home full-time was no longer an option. Both Marissa’s and my life changed for the better when she joined the IDDI community. I visit her many times a week, so I see first hand the love and respect that she receives from devoted staff members. It’s comforting to know I made the right decision.”
